Climbing and horse riding in Cuba. Active Cuba with kids.
One of the places that should not be skipped during your trip in Cuba, whether with kids or without is Viñales. Not only it’s unbelievably beautiful but as well there is whole bunch of staff to do here. And no, not being close to water doesn’t make this place any less attractive.
What can you do with kids in Viñales?
Horse riding
This is really something you should try while being in Viñales. No matter if this is your first time on a horse or you are a professional, you will be able to find the guide and horses you are looking for. We did horse ridding twice. First time four of us: two adults and two kids, age 4,5 and 1. Kids were sitting with us on the horses, our 1 year old Tami actually felt asleep in the carrier during the ride, which really doesn’t happen often (sleep is not her thing 😉 ). The second time Zofia did it only with Dario and a guide. You pay sth like 10 CUC for a horse and the trip takes up to 3 hours. Our guide was really great and super careful. The thing with Cubans is that they are ready to meet your needs and adjust the horse and kind of trip to suite you and your family the best. Ask your casa owner about a guide and we’re sure you will find one.
Climbing
Another great adventure for the kids and adults in Viñales in climbing. You can rent the equipment, hire a guide and pick the most appropriate route for you in Raul’s Farm. They even provided climbing gear for our 4 year old.
