Rooms: This is an amazing hostel offering family rooms as well. We booked a family room with a bathroom. There is lots of space inside and a big bunk bed.
Garden: The hostel has a garden and small water ponds in the patio. You can rest there and kids can safely run around among beautiful exotic plants.
Staff: The staff was very helpful and nice. Thanks to them, we found out about the local temple festival taking place close to the hostel. This was an insider tip and we were the only tourists among all the people there. That was an amazing experience, that we would never find out on our own. Moreover, one of the girls from the reception was such a sweetheart that she brought bananas and cookies for Zofia. We were playing in the garden while Dario and Tamara were still sleeping, so we waited with getting some breakfast till they wake up. The girl from reception was so thoughtful she gave Zofia fruits she bought at the local market. This was so sweet. She as well taught Zofia a Chinese kids game with stones. The staff as well helped us with organizing transport in Bangkok and with checking train connections to Ayutthaya. They as well tell you what the regular price for transportation is so you won’t overpay for the service.
Food, shops, restaurants: There are many cheap and delicious places to eat close to the hostel, as well takeouts. Ask at the reception what you are looking for and the staff will give you very good tips about the place you would enjoy. A grocery shop is in a walking distance.
Location: Time Sabai is located in the middle of the city but thanks to the garden, one can rest in an amazing atmosphere. There is a hairdresser, laundry, and many other services you could need close to Time Sabai.
The hostel is in a walking distance from the famous Khao San Road. We took a walk to there with our small daughters one evening (here, I’d rather skip the Khao San Road phenomenon; I’d just say that it is touristic and quite fake.) To the other main touristic attractions, you can take a boat or a tuk-tuk. However, we strongly encourage you to discover the neighborhood. It is full of life and beauty.
